Q: What is Green Campus Points?
A: Green Campus Points is a loyalty program developed at Boston University that rewards consumers for their purchases while eliminating CO2 emissions from the environment.

Green Campus Points targets the university community and will be piloted at BU this fall. You have been identified by students as an organization that they would like to see participate in this pilot. In helping to test this innovative method of promoting products, you will not only drive business to your organization but you will also receive the aggregated results from the pilot.

Q: How does Green Campus Points work?
A: Green Campus Points is simple to use. Merchants purchase Points which are used to promote their products. These products are then promoted on our web site where students can review them. Students then select which merchants they want to patronize in order to complete purchases. By purchasing promoted products across multiple merchants, students accumulate points quickly in their accounts. These points can then be redeemed for discounts at a variety of participating merchants in our network.


About Your Account

Q: Why do you need my email address?
A: Your email address combined with your password is how we know it's you when you log in to Green Campus Points. It is also how we can send you coupons and communicate with you regarding Green Campus Points special events, promotions, and email offers you may have opted-in to receive. You can adjust your messaging preferences or unsubscribe from some emails in the settings section of the My Account page.

Q: I think I'm already signed up. Am I?
A: If you think you already have an account, sign in with the email address and password you think you used and we'll let you know immediately if we have your email in our system. If you don't remember your password we can send you a link to reset it.


Earning/Redeeming Points

Q: How can I earn Green Campus Points?
A: The first step is become a member. If you're not already registered, you can do so now Register. Once you have received your account number, you can view promotional offers on our web site and start earning points from multiple merchants in your community.

Q: How do I redeem my Green Campus Points?
A: Sign in to your account to view your balance and click on the Redeem Points button. Enter the amount of points you wish to redeem and select the merchant you wish to visit from the drop down list. Click the Redeem button. A uniquely identified coupon will be issued to you with the discount amount you requested and the merchant information you selected. Print the coupon by clicking on the Print Coupon button and present it to the merchant during your next visit.

Q: Will my Green Campus Points expire?
A: As long as your Green Campus Points account is active at least once every three (3) months (activity is determined by the earning, redeeming or donating of points), your points won't expire. You'll continue to accrue points for every eligible purchase year after year.

Q: Do redeemed Green Campus Points Coupons expire?
A: Green Campus Points coupons will expire after a period of time. You'll see the expiration date on the physical coupon once you printed it. Please check the expiration date carefully as merchants will not honor expired coupons

Q: What if I did not receive my Green Campus Points credit?
A: Before contacting us, please check your transaction summary in your account. Points may take up to 48 hours to appear in your account. If you still believe you did not receive credit for a purchase or did not receive the correct credit, please contact us via email at info@GreenCampusPoints.com. We will investigate any discrepancies in your account and credit your account if any errors are found.

Q: Will the Green Campus Points program change? Will the merchants change?
A: Our offerings will constantly change to bring you the best products, deals and discounts available. New merchants will be continuously added and special events and contests will be created to help increase the number of points you can earn. Be sure to check the web site frequently to spot exciting new opportunities to earn Green Campus Points.

Q: Is there a limit to the number of coupons I can redeem at one time?
A: You can redeem as many times as you like as long as there are points in your account. You earned these rewards, so enjoy them! Please ensure that you check the expiration dates on each coupon when redeeming multiple coupons at one time.

Q: My business is interested in using the Green Campus Points program. What are the points cost? Is there a minimum required purchase? What is my business responsible for?
A: There are no upfront costs for you to use our loyalty reward system. Your initial point allocation will be 10,000 points with the first 2000 given to you at no charge. You will only be billed for points once they are earned which means a student has completed a purchase at your store. Once your initial 2000 points have been earned (an email will be sent to you notifying you when your initial allotted balance is at 1500 points and asking you if you would like to continue to use the program), an additional 2000 points will be billed to your account at $0.03 per point. Every time your point balance approaches 1,500 points, we will notify you again to give you an opportunity to purchase an additional 2000 points at $0.03 per point to continue your promotional programs.

Your business is responsible for using our points to develop attractive promotions for your customers (we can help you design promotions), honoring the promotions that you advertise on our website and accepting Green Campus Points coupons for all customers regardless if they earned them at your establishment. All coupons accepted can be rebated back to Green Campus Points for the full value of the coupon.
